2016 Northwest Michigan Orchard and Vineyard Show

An annual convention bringing members of the orchard and vineyard industry together for educational talks, industry networking and a meeting of the Northwest Michigan Horticultural Research Foundation board. Attendees will have the opportunity to heard from numerous researchers and industry workers, including Michigan State University AgBioResearch scientists Nikki Rothwell, Ron Perry, Greg Lang, Mark Whalon, Matt Grieshop, George Bird, Annemiek Schilder, Rufus Isaacs and George Sundin.
Topics will range to include soil health, bird, pest and disease management, cherries, apples, hops, grapes and the role of the Michigan Tree Fruit Commission. Significant pest threats such as spotted wing drosophila and brown marmorated stink bug will be discussed at length. Attendees will be eligible to receive pesticide recertification credits, as well.
