The Together at the Table Upper Peninsula Local Food Summits annually bring together a variety of stakeholders from across the Upper Peninsula within the food system. 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with regestration begining at 8 a.m. Who should attend: farmers/growers, restaurants, schools, retail outlets, hospitals, economic developers, elected officials, community leaders, anyone interested in our local food system! Topics to include: Understanding Community Food Systems, What’s up with the U.P. Food Exchange (UPFE), Regional Food Hub Updates,MSU U.P. Research and Extension Center North Farm Updates, buyer/grower meet and greet, Group GAPPilot, and farm to school updates. The U.P. Food Exchange connects local food activity within each of the Upper Peninsula’s three distinct regions (eastern, central, western), and coordinates local food efforts between the regions.
