Robert Abramovitch: Illuminating solutions

Robert Abramovitch is an assistant professor in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics in the College of Natural Science. Every day he enters his lab in the Physical Sciences Building motivated and ready to find new solutions for treating tuberculosis.

“I started studying tuberculosis because I realized it was one of the grand challenges of global health,” Abramovitch said. “If we want to take care of the local health, the health of our community, we actually have to consider global health. Anybody who breathes is susceptible to tuberculosis.”
